Join Ballard Historical Society for a Free Lecture on the Mystery Behind the History of Kirke Park

7th Elect church on the site of the new Kirke Park.

On the north edge of the East Ballard Neighborhood at the intersection of NW 70th and 9th Ave NW lies Kirke Park, one of Seattle’s newest parks and one of the largest in Ballard at almost an acre in size. Before the Park, there was a very mysterious religious colony with a rich history on this site. Thanks to the Ballard Historical Society, and Barbara Hainley from Friends of Kirke Park, you’ll have an opportunity next week to learn more about the Seventh Elect Church of Israel, and the recent transformation of its property into Kirke Park.

“The Church on the Heights”
